研究区是东营凹陷永安镇油田沙三下段、沙四上段的冲积扇和扇三角洲砂砾岩体，目的层发育在东营凹陷陡坡带同生断层的下降盘，因断层多期强烈活动，导致永安镇油田沙三下段、沙四上段的砂砾岩体成因类型多，时空演化变化大，在扇根一带小层对比难度大，给油田开发带来很大的难题，在这种背景下进行流动单元研究难度更大。
